Founded in 1986, The Systems Shop has grown from a solo Timeslips consulting practice to a full-service IT management firm. 

We now provide expanded software services, including law practice management, time and billing, accounting, and general office productivity applications, with a specialty in legal vertical-market solutions.

In addition, we now also offer a broad range of hardware and general computing services, including network design and implementation, system maintenance, installation, support, data security, and disaster recovery.

Jeff founded The Systems Shop in 1986 as a one-person computer consulting business. Over the past 16 years, he has built the company while continuing to be involved with hands-on consulting and training. He specializes in Timeslips, Time Matters, TABS, Abacus Law, Dapix Legal Systems, Timesheet Professional, Symantec AntiVirus consulting and training as well as hardware and network configurations. Prior to consulting, he worked as a CPA with several New York-based firms after earning an MBA in accounting at Pace University in 1978. His strong interest in computers allowed him to teach himself at a time when consultants were few in number. That led to the opportunity to teach others. From DOS, C: prompts and a handful of software available to today’s Windows, icons and countless number of software programs he has witnessed, and experienced the evolution of small business technology.

Mitchell is our Network Engineer and the newest member of The Systems Shop team. His years of experience with networking strengthens our team and our commitment to high-quality service as his specialties include network infrastructure and wireless network design, network security, and disaster recovery planning. Additionally, he is a Microsoft® Certified Professional and Microsoft® Certified Systems Administrator and is A+ and Network+ Certified.
